Monthly Foraging Calendar

$12.00

There are medicinal plants growing year-round! When learning about foraging and medicine making, it can be difficult to know about when you can expect to see plants growing. This calendar can be a wonderful resource to refer to all throughout the season!

The plants featured in this resource are found in many places around the great lakes region and beyond. These proposed times of each plants’ arrivals are based on the climate near southwest Michigan and may vary based on your location and other seasonal factors. If you live in a warmer climate, they may arrive sooner, a cooler climate, later. Keep an eye out for these plants during each month! It is best to plan ahead and begin watching for plants before their estimated arrival.

It’s important to note, this is not even close to a complete list of medicinal and edible plants in this area! These are some of my favorite beginner-friendly, highly reliable, versatile, and mostly plentiful plants. The plants marked with an * are ones to take extra care foraging as they are or have the potential to be sparsely growing in some areas.

And as always, please forage safely and responsibly. You must be 100% sure of your identification before harvesting or consuming. You are responsible to learn proper identification.
